Crater Lake

Crater Lake is a three layer screen print that addresses home at the dinner table. Crater Lake is designed to be a place mat for the table where the family gathers. A constant reminder of where one comes from. Crater Lake has a natural round shape which lends well to receiving the dinner plate. Crater Lake. the national monument, was a natural choice for the artist as he is originally from Oregon.

Ingest Wisely

Ingest Wisely is a commentary on food production- specifically meat processing. This screen print was designed to be a poster that can be distributed easily to spread awareness of the true nature of the meat processing industry. This print was created by scanning a package of meat and altering the label to reveal hidden truths, such as "I was fed antibiotics".

Exploding House

Exploding House is a hybrid four layer screen print. This screen print was the artist's first exploration of the intersection between screen print and hand drawing. All four layers of the screen print were hand drawn and converted to stencils for the screen. After printing, there were additional hand-drawn elements added. Exploding House is representative of a cathartic moment for the artist in response to dealing with a family loss.

Poolside

Poolside is part of two part series (The Vacation included) that focuses on the impact of the food industry on our lives. Both Poolside and The Vacation focus on the representation and extent of that relationship. People are represented by food items to symbolize the grip on our lives and we as America have come to be identified with. Both take place at a 'resort', in places where people tend to gather.

The Vacation

Both The Vacation and Poolside focus on the representation and extent of that relationship. Junk Food Reality

Junk Food Reality is the artist's initial exploration of working with food as a topic. This piece is monumental as it represents the moment when the artist realized the grasp of the food industry, after losing a significant amount of weight. Junk Food Reality is a commentary on that relationship and the struggle to 'ignore' or fully give up bad foods - to break the dependent relationship.
